Azuqua, a software provider which allows businesses to connect cloud applications, has announced the appointment of SaaS industry vet Todd Owens as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Owens most recently served at the helm of customer data startup Appuri, which was sold to electronic signature and digital transaction management services provider Docusign in December 2017.
The new CEO will replace Seattle, WA-based Azuqua’s founder Nikhil Hasija, who will transition to the role of Chief Product Officer.
Before Appuri, Owens held executive positions at various tech companies, most recently as the the CEO and President of TalentWise for a decade, where he oversaw its acquisition by Sterling Talent Solutions in 2016. He held other leadership positions at tech companies such as Siebel Systems, Wind River and Oracle. Owens received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Azuqua, founded in 2013, helps companies more easily manage tasks and receive real-time feedback by integrating hundreds of different could apps. Over the past year, the firm says it has “added more than 90 new connectors to its already impressive library of connectors for applications including Adobe, Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet and Zendesk.
The startup’s most recent Series B round brought in $10.8 million from backers including lead investor Insight Ventures Partners, alongside existing investor Ignition Partners and new investor DFJ. The latest round in August 2017 brings its total raised to about $16.3 million. As of its latest round, Azuqua’s subscription started at $250 per month to about $2,000 per month depending on customer size and customization preferences. The five-year-old startup lists clients including Airbnb, Charles Schwab, Hubspot, PLZ Aeroscience and GE, among hundreds of others.
