Before joining TPG, Nehal was an investor at tech-focused private equity firm Francisco Partners. He earned an AB in economics and an MS in industrial engineering from Stanford University, along with an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. The tech investor has experience working as a research analyst for investment management firm the Capital Group Companies and as an analyst with Morgan Stanley’s Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructurings Department.

Over the course of a decade plus with TPG, Nehal has completed 15 investments across the firm’s Capital Growth and Rise funds.

“For more than a decade, TPG's technology team has worked to identify management teams and companies that are disrupting markets and changing industries," said Raj. "By working across three funds - TPG Capital, TPG Growth, and The Rise Fund - we are uniquely positioned to study, understand, and access a wide variety of investment opportunities across technology. This approach has led us to partner with some of today's most innovative companies, from category-defining IoT platform C3 IoT; to socially-conscious, education technology company EverFi; to leading healthcare SaaS provider Mediware. I look forward to continuing to partner with great management teams and companies across the technology landscape.”

The TPG Partner is currently a Director at C3 IoT, Domo, EverFi, Mediware, Noodle Analytics, Sutherland Global Services and Zscaler. Nehal has also head a handful of exits which generated impressive returns on invested capital. He previously served as a Director at private and public companies including Aptina Imaging (bought by ON Semiconductor), CCC Information Services (acquired by CoreLogic), IMS Health (now a public company), Intergraph (part of Hexagon AB), and SymbilitySolutions (went public).

Nehal tops the list of GrowthCap’s Top 40 Under 40 Investors of 2017. He also serves on the board of Trustees at San Francisco Day School and on the Advisory Board of Breakthrough San Francisco.
