Vector Capital-Owned CollabNet Merges with VersionOne

CollabNet, a portfolio company of private equity firm Vector Capital, has merged with VersionOne, an Alpharetta, GA-based provider of management software solutions. The newly formed entity will operate under the CollabNet brand name and will be headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Flint Brenton, CEO of CollabNet, will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the combined entity, while VersionOne CEO Rob Hiller will transition to Chief Strategy Officer.

VersionOne lists over 1,000 customers including 33 of the Fortune 100 companies, who leverage its solutions to scale enterprise-wide agility.

CollabNet, a global leader in enterprise software development and DevOps Solutions, will integrate VersionOne’s enterprise Agile software to offer “the industry’s most complete Enterprise Agile, ALM, Collaboration, Version Control and DevOps solutions.” The combined platform will power application development and delivery for many of the world’s leading businesses and government institutions. CollabNet, acquired by Vector Capital in 2014, currently supports over 10,000 customers with 6 million users in 100 countries, offering innovative solutions, consulting and Agile training services.
